CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians are close to clinching the Central Division title, but are also trying to piece together their injury-riddled starting rotation to get them through the remainder of the regular season. That fact will be apparent Saturday in the second contest of their three-game series with the Chicago White Sox.The pitching matchup will be Cody Anderson (2-4, 6.24 ERA) for the Indians and Jose Quintana (12-11, 3.26) for the White Sox.Anderson is making a spot start in the Indians makeshift rotation. With Carlos Carrasco and Danny Salazar out with season-ending injuries, its created an opening in the No. 5 spot, which Anderson fills Saturday. We told him to treat as though hes a reliever coming into the game, manager Terry Francona said. We want him to try to impact the game for two or three innings, not try to go five or six.Anderson has started and relieved for the Indians and Triple-A Columbus this year. He began the season in the Indians rotation, but got off to a bad start and was demoted to Columbus. In eight starts for the Indians, he is 1/3 with a 7.65 ERA. In nine relief appearances, he is 1-1 with a 3.06 ERA. At Columbus, Anderson appeared in 13 games (six starts) and he was 0-2 with a 3.62 ERA.He has had success as a starter at the big league level. In 15 starts for the Indians in the second half of the 2015 season, Anderson was 7-3, 3.05 ERA.Anderson has also fared well against Chicago. In three appearances (two starts) against the White Sox this year he is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA. In his career he has four appearances (three starts) versus Chicago and is 2-0 with a 1.66 ERA.Francona is reluctant to talk about the postseason until the Indians officially clinch the Central Division title -- their magic number for doing so is three -- but said he thinks his healthy pitchers, in the rotation and in the bullpen, are holding up well over a long seasons worth of work.Nobody looks like they are on fumes, Francona said. And a lot of these guys have never pitched in September, much less October.Quintana is 1-2 with a 2.60 ERA in four starts against the Indians this year. In 18 career appearances (16 starts) versus Cleveland he is 6-3, 2.58.The White Sox will likely play short-handed as center fielder Adam Eaton is expected to be unavailable. Eaton had to leave Fridays game in the sixth inning after running into the center field wall while making a catch on a fly ball hit by Roberto Perez.Eaton hit the wall running at top speed, and fell to the warning track on his back, but held onto to the ball. He remained on the track for several minutes and needed assistance walking off the field.Hes pretty banged up, White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. It knocked the air out of him. He hit his hip, and felt that his back locked up on him. His shoulder -- everything. Were going to get him checked out. Fake Air Max 90 2019 . GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Everyone who pays attention to the NFL knows the Arizona Cardinals are loaded at wide receiver.Theres Larry Fitzgerald, of course, Michael Floyd and speedy John Brown. Last year the Cardinals added J.J. Nelson, who may be the speediest of all.But theres another Brown on the roster, Jaron, and hes been the most impressive receiver in training camp.Jaron Brown got to the NFL the hard way. He signed with Arizona as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Clemson in April 2013 and has played in all of the Cardinals 51 games since then. He has 44 catches in those three seasons for 513 yards and four touchdowns. Those are the guys you fall in love with, coach Bruce Arians said. He made it on special teams, then he made it as a receiver and he continues to improve in both areas. His value goes up and up and up.With Fitzgerald, John Brown and Nelson all sidelined with injuries at one time or another, Jaron has had a lot of time with the first unit.Thats the main thing. Hes gotten opportunity, quarterback Carson Palmer said. For whatever reason, over the years, he just hasnt been on the field because theres guys in front of him and hes been the young guy, the undrafted guy. With Smokey (John Brown) being down for a number of days of practice and then J.J. being down and Larry being down, hes just gotten the opportunity and seized it.Brown said hes certain Palmer has grown more confident in him. That comes in practice and repetition, he said, constantly doing those routes and getting the timing down.Making it in the league the way he did makes him appreciate it, maybe more than a drafted player would.Cant take anything for granted, Brown said. I came in the undrafted route. Really special teams were part of my enntry into the league and still are.ddddddddddddHe plays on all of them -- punts, punt returns, kickoffs and kickoff returns.Hes got length and speed and hes tough, Arians said. Hes got a defensive players mentality. For a receiver to be a core special teamer, its a very unique skill set.Brown said hes worked on the technical aspects of being a receiver this training camp. He doesnt think about where he fits on the depth chart or how much more playing time he might get on another team.I just look at it like Ive got to be ready because I know my number is going to get called upon, he said, and whenever that does happen, I just want to make sure Im able to go in there and theres no letup.Brown knows the plays for all the receiver positions.I think its important just because you never know when a guy might go down, he said. Just to be able to go in there and step up and fill that spot makes you more valuable. This camp, hes had to do that in place of one receiver or another in just about every practice.Im just taking advantage of my opportunity, Brown said, and making the most of it.Game notes Fitzgerald sat out practice for the second day in a row to rest a sore knee. Arians said it was uncertain if Fitzgerald would play in Sunday nights game at Houston. ... Thursdays practice was the last to be open to the public. The team has a short workout closed to the public on Friday then will break camp. ... Next week, practices move to the other side of Phoenix at the teams facility in Tempe.---Online:AP NFL website: http://www.pro32.ap.org and AP NFL coverage on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/AP-NFL ' ' '
