DETROIT -- For the first time since Week 1, the Lions will have their best linebacker on the field.DeAndre Levy has been declared active for Sundays game against the Chicago Bears, the first time since the season opener against the Indianapolis Colts that he will play.Since Levy signed a four-year contract extension during training camp in 2015, he has missed all but one and a half games with hip and knee injuries. In his place, the Lions have used a combination of Tahir Whitehead in 2015 along with Josh Bynes, Antwione Williams and the since-traded Kyle Van Noy in 2016.While Levy is active, the Lions will be without starting running back Theo Riddick, who is out with a wrist injury.With Riddick inactive, Detroit will lean heavily on Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner while possibly giving some touches to newly signed veteran Joique Bell.Levy turned into one of the top linebackers in the NFL when he was healthy in 2013 and 2014, making 119 tackles with six interceptions in 2013 and posting a career-best 151 tackles during the 2014 season.This season, Levy had four tackles against the Colts but was injured despite playing every snap.
