SAINT PAUL, Minn. -- When their team scores a goal at home, Calgary Flames fans are used to fire shooting from strategic points in their buildings ceiling, not from the home teams bench.Still, Flames first-year coach Glen Gulutzan is finding himself on an increasingly hot seat with less than 20 percent of the seasons games played as Calgary sinks further and further back in the Western Conference standings. The Flames come to Minnesota on Tuesday having lost four in a row, and owning a 5-10-1 mark, which is second-worst in the league (ahead of only the Arizona Coyotes). All of that recent losing had Gulutzan juggling his lines on Monday at practice before the team boarded a Minnesota-bound plane, looking for a new spark. When you lose four in a row, youve got to make some changes, Gulutzan said, without revealing the exact combinations the Wild will be expected to counter on Tuesday, although it looks as if Alex Chiasson will move to the second line and be replaced by Troy Brouwer, who will play with regular top-liners Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Any guy weve got here weve got a chance of putting in, so well see how the lineup transpires. The Flames have scored just four goals during the four-game skid, and speculation is growing in Calgary that an early-season coaching change may be needed. However, Gulutzan, who coached the Dallas Stars for two seasons and is in his second head-coaching gig in the NHL, is less concerned about offense and focusing more on his teams inability to consistently stifle the opponents offense.Everybodys talking about the points, but the reality is weve given up 60-some goals, 50-some goals, Gulutzan said. If you go back a year from now, one of the reasons we didnt have success is we gave up 260-some goals. The top teams in the league dont do that. After a brief power outage in early November, the Wild (8-5-1) are back to looking like one of the top teams in the league, coming home after two weeks away and having just collected four of a possible six points on a three-game eastern road trip. And the health news is even better in Minnesota, after star left winger Zach Parise skated in practice on Monday and may return to the lineup after a two-week absence caused by a lower-body injury. Its good. It beats skating on your own, Parise said Monday after practice. Its one of those things I needed to get the progress and get back to feeling good again. It was good to be practicing with the team.Parise said he felt fine and would make his case to coach Bruce Boudreau about a return to the ice against the Flames on Tuesday, hoping to join Charlie Coyle and Eric Staal on the teams top line.It is the start of a whirlwind stretch in which Minnesota will play seven games in 12 days -- five of them at home. The Wild defense is on a roll, having allowed just nine goals in the past eight games. Jim Thome Jersey . -- Anaheim Ducks defenceman Luca Sbisa will be out at least six weeks with a torn tendon in his right hand. Joe Carter Jersey . Louis. To which I would say two things: 1. Where there is smoke, there is or perhaps has been a little fire. Or, in other words, the two teams would appear to have at least spoken. And spoken is defined as one calling the other to inquire, no more, no less. http://www.indianssale.com/indians-joe-carter-jersey/ . Murray beat Sam Querrey 7-6 (5), 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-3 to clinch Britains opening-round victory against the United States on Sunday at Petco Park. "Im proud of the way Im playing just now, because I had to do a lot of work to get back to where I want to be," Murray said after celebrating with his teammates on the red clay court in a temporary stadium in left field of the downtown home of baseballs San Diego Padres. Cleveland Indians Jerseys . Marincin has played in two NHL games so far this season with two penalty minutes. The 21-year-old has three goals, four assists and a plus-5 rating in 24 games with the American Hockey Leagues Oklahoma City Barons this season. Larry Doby Jersey . P.A. Parenteau scored early in the third period to help the Avs edge Toronto 2-1 on Tuesday night. Cory Sarich also scored for Colorado (3-0-0), which is off to its best ever start. CHICAGO -- Ask Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville to find a common denominator among his teams 10 wins this season and he points to a paper-thin margin between victory and defeat. The Blackhawks carry a seven-game winning streak into Friday nights test against the Washington Capitals at the United Center. Of the seven, four of Chicagos wins have been decided by one goal, including the Blackhawks 2-1 overtime win over St. Louis on Wednesday night.Certainly (have been) very fortunate in a lot of these games, Quenneville said after Chicagos practice on Thursday. Theyre almost very comparable from start to finish. Theyre all close and finding a way to win is important. The Blackhawks (10-3-1) have relied on steady play in net from both Corey Crawford and Scott Darling. Crawford is allowing just 1.91 goals per game and has a .939 saves percentage. Chicagos much-maligned penalty-killing unit has been much better of late, which has played a hand in the Blackhawks current win streak. As well as things have been rolling, however, the Blackhawks face a Capitals team that has strung together win streaks of three and five games -- the latter of which was snapped in a 3-0 loss to San Jose on Tuesday night. Chicago will likely be without leading scorer Artem Anisimov (eight goals, nine assists), who sustained an upper-body injury against St. Louis. Anisimov is listed as questionable for Friday nights game and also could miss Chicagos tilt Sunday against the NHLs top team when Montreal visits the United Center.Regardless of Anisimovs status, Quennevillle knows his team will have its hands full against the Capitals.ddddddddddddIts always a big game, Quenneville said. You know youve got to be at your best against them. The games have been very competitive.Certainly when youre playing top guys, they get your attention.Despite its overall success, Washington (8-3-1) isnt without its issues. Alex Ovechkin and Marcus Johansson have tallied 11 points respectively while Braden Holtby -- whom Quenneville on Thursday characterized by as very competitive kid -- has been solid in net over 10 starts in net this season. But Washingtons second power-play unit has yet to register a goal this season while the Capitals overall success while skating with a man advantage has dipped. The special teams unit has scored only one goal in its last 15 opportunities, which ranks 24th in the league with a 13.2 success rate.On Friday, the Capitals will face a Blackhawks penalty killing-unit that has a 67.3 percentage -- which has drastically improved over the course of the teams seven-game win streak.Of course we have to play better, but the coaches help plan, center Evgeny Kuznetsov said, according to the Washington Post. Were trying to stay with that plan, but sometimes we did wrong. We have to fix it a little bit, some small areas. I think at some point, the pucks are going in for sure. We just have to be close to each other and maybe use the small areas a little bit and make more shots. ' ' '
