game -- quarterback Drew Brees, Antworten

While Super Smash Bros. might be big in North America and parts of Europe, its far more niche in other parts of the world. Luckily, a new YouTube series is shedding light on the franchise in those communities. The show is Smash Scenes, and its latest episode takes place in one of the worlds largest havens for esports: South Korea. The episode delves into what its like to play a console title like Smash in a country like South Korea, where PC gaming dominates. The scene has had to reckon with other interesting challenges as it has taken shape, especially related to Smashs developer Nintendo. First, Nintendo has very little presence in South Korea, which means the Smash community there hasnt had support from the games greatest and most well-resourced advocate. Second, Nintendo didnt release the Wii U in South Korea, which meant Smash fans havent been able to play the most recent version of the franchise. South Korean players have gotten around the latter point by sticking to Super Smash Bros. Melee, the GameCube version of Smash from 2001 that is still an esports powerhouse today.ESPN caught up with Smash Scenes director Jason GosuJasu Russak and audio engineer Thomas Toggle Goedecke to get some insight into the series.Toggle had his own personal reasons behind making Smash Scenes. We always wanted to highlight our own smaller scenes, said Toggle. Everyone knows about SoCal and Norcal and MD/VA and Florida, and even Arizona to some extent. Being from Hawaii, no one knew about our scene and we?re often just brushed off. What else about the scene proved inspirational? Smash has interesting material, even among other, similar esports. The Smash Bros. series is in a unique position, GosuJasu said. In a world of online gaming, [Smashers] still meet locally and form communities. Because Melee predates online console gaming, and the new Super Smash Bros. for Wii U doesnt have the best online functionality, players still make a concerted effort to organize local tournaments. But finding and documenting smaller communities can be challenging, especially when aiming for a different location in each of ten episodes. The biggest issue has been traveling and locations, Toggle said. The idea behind the series is to get diverse locations and scenes, but thats limited by the budget we have. The team is doing what it can to work around financial constraints, including leaning on internet communication to supplement travel. We believe there is a narrative to be told about every scene, so we find ways to work around it, said Toggle. Some of our workarounds have been doing Skype interviews and working with local players to get b-roll for more distant locations.Smash Scenes is certainly not the first effort at depicting Smashs flavorful esports world on camera. Most people credit The Smash Brothers, a documentary series released on YouTube in 2013, for revitalizing the scene and bringing in new fans. Each episode focused on an individual top competitive Smasher. Viewers became attached to these players and the personality they brought to the game. However, that focus on the individual is something Smash Scenes has been trying to avoid. Most documentaries currently focus on the individuals and not the communities around them, GosuJosu said. These communities are what make Smash the game it is. This is their chance to tell their stories. What weve learned is that no two scenes are remotely similar, and that every community, no matter our large or small, has a story, said Toggle.Smash Scenes wants to establish itself as a staple of video storytelling in the community. Currently, the team is set to release its remaining eight episodes weekly. Then after a short reprieve, the series is hoping to upgrade its equipment and set off on finding other Smash communities all over the world. Rougned Odor Jersey . For the Wild it was their first win of the season and they now have a record of 1-1-2 while the Jets fall to 2-2. Jets start a six game home stand Friday with another divisional game, home to the Dallas Stars. Ferguson Jenkins Jersey . Uniteds eighth defeat of a wretched campaign means Liverpool, which currently occupies the fourth and final Champions League place, could go nine points clear of its fierce rival by beating West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. Charlie Adam scored both of Stokes goals at Britannia Stadium either side of Robin van Persies equalizer, with a miserable day for seventh-place United capped by first-half injuries to centre halves Jonny Evans and Phil Jones that forced them off. http://www.cheaptexasrangersjerseys.com/?tag=cheap-bartolo-colon-jersey . Pirlo limped out of Sundays 1-0 win over Udinese after just 13 minutes. Juventus says Pirlo underwent tests on Monday which revealed he has "a second-degree lesion to the collateral medial ligament in his right knee. Nomar Mazara Jersey . Coach Tom Thibodeau says the former MVP will probably start travelling with the team in the next few weeks. Rose tore the meniscus in his right knee at Portland in November and was ruled out for the remainder of the season by the Bulls. Drew Robinson Jersey . After the whistle, Thornton skated the length of the ice, pulled Orpik to the ice from behind and punched him in the face several times. Ten years ago -- on Sept. 25, 2006 -- the Louisiana Superdome was the scene of an iconic moment in NFL history.A year earlier, Hurricane Katrina unleashed its fury on one of Americas great cities, peeling back the roof of the Superdome, which transformed a shelter of last resort into a palace of pain for thousands of residents who could not flee New Orleans before the storm overpowered poorly designed levees and inundated 200,000 homes. When the New Orleans Saints returned to the refurbished Superdome for Week 3 of the 2006 NFL season, the stadiums dazzling rebirth and the Saints 23-3 destruction of the Atlanta Falcons -- fueled by New Orleans special teamer Steve Gleasons blocked punt for a touchdown in the opening minutes -- became a metaphor for the citys revival. The stakes are not nearly as high for the Saints this time, but at 0-2, with losses to the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants coming by a combined total of four points, they could use some serious Superdome mojo against the 1-1 Falcons.Saints coach Sean Payton, who was on the sidelines for Gleasons blocked point, which nearly blew the roof off the Superdome again, is trying to direct his thoughts to a team desperately in need of a win.Its the Atlanta Falcons, its a division opponent and its our first division game and we have not won, Payton said. It is Monday Night Football, and thats the easy motivation in regards to the significance or importance to the game. A lot of these guys were not around, and, shoot, they may not have been playing football when that happened. Its more about finding a way to get our first win.The Saints have three players on their current roster who participated in the 2006 rebirth game -- quarterback Drew Brees, guard Jahri Evans and tackle Zach Strief. The Falcons have only one -- defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux. But Atlanta coach Dan Quinn realizes the Saints are desperate for a victory and will feed off the home crowd. They could just as easily be 2-0, Quinn said. We know this a good team. In addition, its a division game for us. We cant wait to get down there.ddddddddddddWhile the Falcons lead the overall series 48-45, Payton has owned Atlanta since taking over in 2006, winning 15 of 20.The Saints struggled offensively last week in a 16-13 loss to the Giants. Their defense forced three turnovers against New York, but the critical play of the game turned out to be a blocked field goal that the Giants turned into a touchdown for a 10-point turnaround.Payton was disappointed in his offenses lack of balance. Even though the game was close throughout, Brees threw 46 passes while the Saints ran the ball just 13 times for 3.2 yards a carry.I feel like the offensive line has been doing a great job in the run game, said running back Mark Ingram. We just have to call them and execute them, give the coaches confidence where we can go out there and be effective in the run game. The Falcons are tied for 25th in run defense and have allowed their first two opponents to rush for 4.6 yards a carry. While the Saints seek to get their running game back on track, they realize Brees is their bread and butter.Obviously, you want to get after it in the run game, but when you have a dynamic quarterback like Drew who can just pick people off, then you got to play to your strengths, Evans said. And hes definitely a strength. The Falcons also have a high-octane offense. Quarterback Matt Ryan has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of his first two games -- a 31-24 Week 1 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a 35-28 road victory against the Raiders. Ryan leads the NFL in yards per pass attempt (10.0) and passer rating (121.4). He has five touchdowns passes and just one interception. The Saints will have the crowd buzzing. Gleason, who is battling ALS, will be on hand for the game to whip the Superdome crowd into a frenzy. Its probably going to be their Super Bowl, said Atlanta safety Kemal Ishmael. I know its going to be something special for them, and theyre going to get after us. ' ' '
